Both are the same folder, and both arrive as a PDF. The only question is whether you’d rather print it and write it out by hand, or answer online and have it built for you. Paper in the post is an add-on either way.

What we never hold

None of this ever goes in the folder

The folder records where things are found, never what they are. These are refused on entry — type one in and the field rejects it and tells you why.

If you print and fill it by hand, we never see any of it at all — the PDF never leaves your printer.

What this is

A map of what you own, for whoever has to act

The Handover Folder records what you hold and where it is kept, so the person administering your estate can find it. Which banks, which super fund, whether there was insurance, where the will is, who the solicitor was.

It is not a will and it has no legal standing as one. A will decides who receives what, and must be signed and witnessed to be valid. This folder decides nothing — it is a set of directions for the people left doing the work, and it sits alongside a will rather than in place of one.
